design: Father Time

These frames are inspired by the earliest of spectacles craftsman. The circular lens shape dates back to the dawn of eyewear during the 14th century while the temple design comes from the late 17th century. The pair on display has temples where one folds upwards and the other slants down, another early construction technique (650). The frame design can also be made with more modern temple constructions (525).
