Since 2005, I have been crafting custom eyewear from natural materials for clients all over the world. Each pair of frames is specifically designed and constructed for the individual. There are no limitations and each creation is a work of art from my hands.

Consultation – The process starts with general ideas of one’s personal style. You may desire to have your favorite pair replicated or prefer that we begin from scratch. Measurements will be gathered to ensure that the pair is specifically tailored to your features.
Design & Materials – Designs are then displayed to scale on top of a provided head-shot. This allows for contemplation of the proposed designs. The design phase can be as detailed or simple as one wishes. Proper material selection is an important determining factor in the overall success of the spectacles. The woods have been chosen for their durability, unique grain patterns, and a variety of color options. They can be as conservative as a pair of jet black ebony frames or as adventurous as Hawaiian curly koa.
Construction – Starting with a solid block of wood (not veneer ply), proprietary techniques are employed to begin the general shaping of the spectacles. Italian spring hinges are set into the wood frame to allow for an extremely comfortable and forgiving fit. The wood is then hand sanded and buffed to a lustrous finish. In general the construction process can be expected to take a few weeks.
Lenses – Any lenses can be cut and mounted into the custom eyewear designs. Sunglasses are simple, while inserting prescription lenses into the frames will require you sending an Rx with a PD measurement. I will take care of everything from there so that they arrive with you ready to wear.
Fitting & Beyond – After the frames are transferred from my hand to yours, I am still not satisfied until you are. I suggest wearing the new frames for a few weeks while being conscious of how they feel. The common reaction is pleasure with how light the frames are and how well they fit. If this is not the case for some reason, I will always be around to make adjustments and more until satisfaction is achieved. After taking the plunge once into the process, many clients become owners of multiple pair and even friends.
